Ngatea - My Special Place
When I close my eyes I glimpse people kayaking in the bumpy waves as if they are riding their bike over wavy hills. The sun stands above me, bursting out with brightness from behind the gloomy clouds. Winding roads catch my sight, reminding me of rivers swirling round hills.
When I step onto the footpath, the sound of muffled voices spreads throughout the air of Ngatea. The smell of the sea catches me and the breeze creates goosebumps on my arms.
Family I have not met before crowd around, laughing, playing cards, and running around outside. The disgusting taste of chlorine water fills up my cup. As I drink the chlorine water, we come up with the idea of buying bottled water instead of the drinking chlorine water from the tap.
My special place is now waiting for my family and I to visit again and I can't wait.
